Andalus Archers was established in 1998 as GymNation Archery. Since then we have established archery as a competitive sport in schools and communities in the inner city, and are working hard to develop all participants as competent and able archers. We have also been awarded the Community Specialism Club status by the Archery GB Ontarget Programme in June 2013. Also we have been featured on BBC News
All members enjoy a very strong community orientated atmosphere and ethos. This is reflected in our diverse club membership, with members coming from all over the West Midlands, and being from most ethnic backgrounds and cultures.
We have established archery as a competitive sport in schools and communities in the inner city, and are working hard to develop all participants as competent and able archers.
Our coaches regularly go into schools throughout the West Midlands to teach archery. Sessions range from a single have-a-go, to a full six weeks beginners course. Risk Assessments and Safety checks are always carried out. The equipment is mobile, and suitable for all ages and abilities. All our coaches are fully qualified, and DBS checked . They are also trained to work with people with disabilities.
Archery for Juniors
Looking to ignite your child’s passion for archery? Look no further! Our archery program for juniors is designed to provide a fun and safe environment for young archers to learn and grow. Our experienced instructors will teach them proper techniques, form, and safety protocols, while fostering their love for this ancient sport. Whether your child is a beginner or has some experience, our program caters to all skill levels. From gaining focus and discipline to developing hand-eye coordination and strength, archery offers numerous benefits for juniors.
Women’s Only Sessions
Look no further than Andalus Archers! Our Women’s Only Sessions offer a unique and inclusive space for women of all ages and backgrounds to discover and excel in the sport of archery. Led by our fully qualified coaches, these sessions cater to all skill levels, from beginners to those aiming for Olympic-level proficiency.
